Yes! With initiative, I am hosting a 3 race series this year. It is going to be a great “off” season. Looking for forward to host more than one race this year, I decided a 3 race series would be a good opener. Still determining factors for categories for this to run smoothly. But the course will be longer since there has been a new trail cut in between the Parasite and the power line towers. Called the “silkworm”, this will provide and new and fun challenge to the course and overall times. Keep checking back for new updates as the first race closes in. Thanks again and hope to see all again. Matt

This 3 races series will be divided up in the following groups, mens A & B, Womens, teens, cyldesdale. Race all 3 races for overall best time for final awards. Not necessary to race all three races. Prizes per races are awarded. If racing all series, Prizes will be awarded for race series participants. Also prizes for best overall time, most improved time. We have a new spreadsheet that will flow a lot better with organizing times. TT course for all three races will be the same for the most part. Hope to see you out there before your parting starts for the new year.
Ride on!

HELLO EVERYONE,

WOW, is what I said while riding down the hill towards the park after setting the course(THANKS Issace and Dave from Second Ascent). I could not believe all the riders that showed up! So thanks again for coming out and having fun and enjoying what we like to, Ride trial.

Looks like we lucked out for good weather for the ttt #6. All day wind being crisp at times. Good thing there were 70 racer/riders that showed up to keep warm with. I was asking ages and looks like we span from 15 yrs old to 55ish. We had 7 ladies on there steeds tearing it up. 4 or 5 youth as well. One of them bringing in the 3rd fasted time! Wow again. The trails were slippery and muddy when I showed up that morning. The pre-ride was great. there were bikes all over the place. I should have taking a picture. Fasted time of the day was from “the local” Toby Swanson with a 37m55s = 37:55. Nice work. So I ask Toby where he lived at the end while he pick up some arrows, he said about a mile away. I asked and he said when he first started riding the TT, had knocked off 2 minutes or so off of his time by just riding a lot. Maybe that a little inspiration for the crowd. I know it is for me.

So to give out some stats, when I logged the course I had 5.79 mi on my gps. I heard some say 5.1. Maybe just round to the middle. 70 racers. One Mechanical. No injuries! Yeh!

Attached (choices) is my time sheet, which I thanks Toby from GHY bikes and Leslie & Forrest from SEAttle Bike POLO for helping out!

Every year the TTT just gets better and lots of smiles. I’d like to keep it that way for upcoming TTT. So if you have some constructive criticism you would like to share, please email me back. I have to say that I wasn’t expecting or prepared for this many people. I thank you for your patience.

ALso I would like to thank GHY bikeshop, Montlake bicycles, Freight Baggage, Cycoactive, Second Ascent, Splash it! & Schooner Exact for the prized contributions.

Also If there needs to be a correction of your name or you have updated info in regards to more TTT information, send it this way.

ALSO, if you would like to participate in A TAPEWORM TIMETRIAL IN MARCH. Please feel free to throw out some dates!!!!!! Thanks, I was thinking 1st half of March. Lili come out then, Tom Myers (OG trailmaker) , planted a bunch of them randomly. Please reply TTT#7.
March 13th seems like a good day. Bike expo is on this weekend.

The Tapeworm is the major trail near Seattle in the city of Renton. It’s been there for about 12 years and consists of about 6 miles of combined trails on a few acres of land. It’s tight, twisty, fast, slow, and above all super technical. Not many can complete the trail without dabbing. Fastest time wins.

6 miles of racing, fastest time we’ve clocked is somewhere around 45 minutes. Singlespeeds and hardtails are king usually, but run what you brung.

$15 gets you race, bbq, pasta and refreshments. Cash prize to the winner for men’s and women’s!

There is no cross or football on the 30th, so be there.tapewormtimetrial#4
